What we need to protect our sky and sea

Currently, there's a lot of hype of nation buying F35s. The only advantage it has over others is only stealth. With it, the price tag and maintenance is extraordinary expensive. No speed, light payload, average range, no ceiling advantage, can't manoeuvre....

Singapore doesn't need to pay so much for a plane to datalink other planes or for a strike fighter into deep enemy territory.

Maybe a squadron of F35s..... to data link the F15s while carrying strike mission. Hope our F15s got those missile racks which can hold 24 missile per plane

Since RSAF make a mistake of buying F15s to carry out strike and air superiority, we do not need any more strike planes.

We should invest of buying more or building a next generation drones  to carry out maritime surveillance, patrol and engaging. To be able to carry AWAC mission and to engage surface and underwater vessels. Able to launch from future JMMS.

We need a lightweight, cheap and good fighter plane to make up the number to carry out daily patrol, interception and all other tasks. Like the latest J10C or Gripen NG.

Instead of sea cruising stealthy missile, we should get supersonic or hypersonic SSM for our navy vessel.  It won't be difficult to search our ships using satelite and we should have to augment our harpoons with faster missile like Brahmos. Longer range and faster speed thus reducing enemy reaction time.

Our submarine should have designed to have VLS to launch stealthy cruise missile for land and for sea.

Maybe in the future, we should really consider an superiority 5th Generation plane.
