Singapore navy should really consider a next generation JMMS.

A flat top that able to launch STOVL planes, using miniaturized electromagnet catapult system to launch large armed drones. A well deck that can accomodate 4 LCUs carrying troops and tanks. A small hospital for 20-40 beds and 1 operation room. And finally, if it's possible, to get a nuclear propulsion system rather than conventional.

Instead of focusing on fighter planes to control air superiority in naval combat, we should rely more on drones to combat the future. It is very costly to make planes of stealth, speed, maneuvreability plus all the avionics, sensors and payload. We should get or invest with other country like Israel to develop instead a next generation armed drone. A drone with low supersonic speed, a stealthy design, a EW suite, a payload that can offer sufficient surface strike, ASW or even counter fighters planes, and radar plus sensors to search, able to detect enemy ships/aircraft/missile at long range and destroy them. A controlled range of at least 1000km or with a manned plane which can transmit signals thus extending the range further.

The JMMS should have a storage hanger for at least 2 squadron of drones of 20-40, 6 medium or 2 medium 2 large helicopters, 2 STOVL fighter planes. To have 4 parking spots at flight deck for STOVL planes to replenish stores and fuel.

Having well deck to deliver at least 4 LCUs which can carry main battle tanks, armoured vehices and troops.

A hospital to assist in disaster affected area.

An air defense system against planes and missiles attacks. A light defense system against surface ships and develop an anti torpedo system
